Infrastructure Planning and Asset Management Role

This leadership position involves providing technical expertise to support the planning and delivery of infrastructure, asset management, and maintenance programs across Queensland schools, staff housing, and early childhood education centers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies, strategies, and methodologies to enhance effective asset management and maintenance planning.
  • Offer high-level advice on a range of infrastructure, planning, and asset management issues to executives, senior management, regional directors, and principals.
  • Oversee the allocation of maintenance funding and develop business rules and performance indicators for service delivery partners.
  • Analyze data from the Asset Life Cycle Assessment process to inform long-term investment decisions.
  • Prepare reports, briefing notes, and correspondence on infrastructure, planning, and asset management matters.
  • Lead and mentor a team, promoting collaboration, capability development, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain strategic networks and stakeholder relationships to ensure consistency, best practice, and effective service delivery.

The Ideal Candidate

You will possess proven expertise in infrastructure planning, asset management, or a related field, along with strong knowledge of contemporary asset management practices. You should also have analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and experience leading and supporting teams.
