Structural Asset Specialist

We are seeking a Structural Asset Specialist to support a major infrastructure project in Queensland.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on-site at a key facility, evaluating critical structural assets and developing strategies for long-term integrity.

The position is well-suited for candidates with 15+ years of experience in asset management, bulk material handling, and civil construction. FIFO arrangements are available for suitable candidates within Queensland or New South Wales, subject to approval.

  • Conduct on-site assessments to evaluate asset conditions.
  • Develop remediation scopes for structural integrity improvements.
  • Provide strategic advice on structural management for critical infrastructure.
  • Work collaboratively with the existing engineering team to fill knowledge gaps.
  • Mentor junior engineers and ensure compliance with Australian Standards and safety regulations.
  • Engage stakeholders to align engineering solutions with long-term objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (B.Eng.).
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in structural engineering, particularly in marine and port infrastructure.
  • Extensive experience in asset management, bulk material handling, and civil construction.
  • Strong understanding of structural risk management and remediation strategies.
  • Prior experience working on-site in an operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and manage the structural integrity of large-scale industrial assets.
  • FIFO flexibility within Queensland or NSW (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
