Infrastructure Planning and Asset Management Lead

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development and implementation of policies and strategies that support effective asset management and maintenance planning across Queensland schools, staff housing, and early childhood education centers.

The successful candidate will provide high-level advice on infrastructure, planning, and asset management issues to executives, senior management, regional directors, and principals. They will also oversee the allocation of maintenance funding and develop business rules for service delivery partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of policies and strategies to support effective asset management and maintenance planning.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide high-level advice on infrastructure, planning, and asset management issues to executives, senior management, regional directors, and principals.
  • Funding Allocation and Business Rules: Oversee the allocation of maintenance funding and develop business rules for service delivery partners.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data from the Asset Life Cycle Assessment process to inform long-term investment planning.
  • Reporting and Correspondence: Prepare reports and correspondence on infrastructure, planning, and asset management issues.
  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a small team to foster collaboration, capability development, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Expertise in Infrastructure Planning and Asset Management: Proven expertise in infrastructure planning, asset management, or a related field with strong knowledge of contemporary asset management practices.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience evaluating programs and interpreting complex data.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills with experience preparing high-level reports and correspondence.
  • Leadership and Team Management: A proven ability to lead and support teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and foster collaboration across diverse groups.
  • Policy Development and Program Evaluation: Experience in policy development and program evaluation with a focus on continuous improvement and long-term planning.
