Defence Security Executive
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced security professional to lead our organisation's defence strategy. The role involves developing and implementing security policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and managing physical and personnel security.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement defence security strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
- Manage physical and personnel security, including access control, clearance, and facility management.
- Oversee security risk assessments, audits, and training programs to ensure a secure environment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain classified zones, facilities, and networks.
- Interface with Defence agencies on clearances, visitor access, travel, and facility security.
- Support bids and project execution from a security standpoint.
- Coordinate internal security training and maintain security documentation.
- Manage facility maintenance and infrastructure changes.
- Experience in a Defence or Defence Industry environment.
- In-depth knowledge of DISP, security frameworks, and defence project environments.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional security initiatives.
- Strong understanding of ITAR, export controls, and classified material handling.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- NV1 clearance, and willingness to upgrade to NV2 if required.
- Technical background or tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
