Protective Security Leader

Job Description:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the organisation's defence security strategy, policies and compliance under DISP, DSPF, PSPF and ISM.
  • Manage all security governance activities including physical, personnel, ICT and information security.
  • Maintain and secure classified zones facilities and networks in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as ISSO COO.
  • Oversee ITAR/export control compliance security risk assessments and secure material handling.
  • Interface with Defence agencies on clearances visitor access travel and facility security.
  • Support bids and project execution from a security and facilities standpoint.
  • Coordinate internal security training and audits and maintain security documentation.
  • Manage and support facility maintenance and infrastructure changes.
Requirements

Essential Qualifications And Experience:

  • Experience in a Defence or Defence Industry environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of DISP security frameworks and Defence project environments.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional security initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of ITAR export controls and classified material handling.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • NV1 clearance and willingness to upgrade to NV2 if required.
  • Technical background or tertiary qualifications highly regarded.
