About the Role:
Our Energy and Sustainability Services Division stands as a global leader in energy procurement, sustainability strategy, and energy efficiency, boasting over 35 years of experience in assisting clients to minimize their energy expenditures while achieving their business and sustainability objectives.
We are seeking a Client Energy Manager (CEM) to take charge of client relationships, expand our service offerings, and ensure that all services meet or exceed client expectations. As a representative of Schneider Electric, the CEM will embody our values in all client interactions and demonstrate leadership within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
The Client Energy Manager will engage in a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients autonomously, focusing on contract renewals and service expansions.
- Formulating strategies to secure contract renewals and drive cross-selling initiatives.
- Serving as the primary contact for internal inquiries related to client service delivery.
- Building a strong internal network within the Sustainability Business.
- Conducting regular client meetings and presentations, requiring thorough preparation and the ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and taking ownership of client issues to facilitate resolutions.
- Utilizing conflict resolution skills to address challenges between large organizations.
- Communicating the advantages of our services in areas such as Procurement, Data Management, Energy Efficiency, Renewables, and Sustainability.
- Assisting in the creation of customized reports and the preparation of key performance indicators related to our contracts and services.
- Preparing proposals for clients, including gathering and consolidating cost information from multiple internal sources while ensuring profitability.
- Leveraging data and software tools to enhance service delivery and provide thought leadership.
Candidate Profile:
To thrive in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Basic understanding of the Australian Energy Sector.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Energy, Business, Finance, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- 3-8+ years of experience managing complex projects at high organizational levels.
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to oversee multiple projects across diverse areas.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, effectively navigating obstacles and managing conflicts in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey analyses and ideas succinctly.
- A strong commitment to the company's vision, values, and exceptional customer service.
- Experience in business development, particularly in crafting successful strategies for service retention and cross-selling.
- Emotional intelligence and resilience in challenging situations.
- Experience leading teams in energy, sustainability, or related fields within large organizations or consulting firms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with corporate sustainability and reporting practices in large organizations.
- Experience utilizing big data to identify cross-selling opportunities or enhance revenue.
- Experience managing project teams or overseeing personnel.
- Prior experience in the Australian or APAC energy markets.
- Experience in energy or sustainability roles within large organizations.
- Detail-oriented analytical skills and a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Comfort with public speaking and presenting to groups regularly.
