We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our occupational rehabilitation team at IPAR in Wollongong, NSW.

Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will work with clients who have suffered injuries or illnesses, providing them with the support and resources they need to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes. This involves managing client caseloads and providing individualized case management services, applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes and developing injury prevention programs for employers and employees. You will also work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client caseloads and provide individualized case management services;
  • Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes and develop injury prevention programs;
  • Work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to achieve optimal outcomes;
  • Conduct various assessments, including initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents;
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling;
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Associate or Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC);
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills - there is a lot of getting to know your clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion and kindness always go a long way as does empathy;
  • Well-developed time management skills are a must; and
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
