Health Safety Leadership Position

Job Title: Health Manager

 

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our health safety team, driving positive change and proactive safety practices across a complex health environment.

 

About the Role:
  • Foster cohesion and high performance among a dispersed WHS team, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
  • Influence safety decisions at all levels, navigating the pressures of a dynamic health system while driving results that matter.
  • Lead innovation and change, challenging the status quo to embed proactive, preventative safety practices throughout the organization.
  • Cultivate partnerships with executive leaders, SafeWork NSW, unions and frontline managers to deliver meaningful outcomes.

 

This is a unique opportunity to drive district-wide impact in a role that combines leadership, legislation, innovation and care. As the successful candidate, you will lead a district-wide WHS team, supporting every CCLHD facility and service.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Report directly to the Associate Director, Health Safety & Wellbeing to drive performance, harness data insights, and ensure safety is integral to everyone's work.
  2. Proven experience leading WHS teams in complex, multi-site environments.
  3. Strong interpersonal influence and confident communication skills when engaging senior stakeholders and highly pressured teams.
  4. Exceptional knowledge of WHS legislation and psychosocial risk, translating compliance into impactful actions.
  5. A strategic mindset, driving meaningful change and improvement within the organization.

 

Requirements:
  • Leadership skills and experience managing a WHS team.
  • Ability to navigate complex systems, foster positive change and drive results.
  • Knowledge of WHS legislation and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated individual who can inspire and motivate others.
