Safety Compliance and Assurance Professional

Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance and Assurance Specialist to join our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing effective safety interface coordination, reviewing and updating the safety management system, and ensuring compliance with rail safety laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Implement improvements to current Safety Interface Agreements to ensure compliance with rail safety laws and regulations
- Maintain (and improve as required) the interface register for operations
- Organise regular meetings between key stakeholders and interfacing parties to discuss and resolve key safety and risk issues
- Conduct onsite risk assessments with interfacing parties and review and update existing Safety Interface Agreement Risk assessments
- Continuous improvement of the Safety Management System
- Liaise with emergency control organisations and attend meetings to assist with planning and implementation of exercises
Requirements:
- An engineering, safety, business or equivalent tertiary qualification is preferable
- Experience and/or qualifications in rail safety: an understanding of rail safety laws and regulations as they apply to interface agreements
- Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office suite of programs
