About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Media Relations Specialist to join our team at REA Group. As a key member of our Content & Growth team, you will play a critical role in shaping our media strategy and building strong relationships with the Australian media landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute media outreach and engagement strategies to promote REA Group's data business, PropTrack.
  • Forge deep relationships with major newsrooms across the country, leveraging research and data to craft compelling narratives for media.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across PropTrack and REA Group's full house of brands to deliver on strategic objectives via the media.
  • Manage data-related media requests and work with economists and analysts to provide timely and comprehensive responses.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a fast-paced communications environment.
  • Strong relationship management skills and previous experience working with multiple stakeholders at all levels of seniority, including media.
  • Experience leveraging research or data to craft engaging narratives for media.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, navigating multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to switch between writing styles.
  • A team player with integrity, professionalism, pride, and resilience.
