Victim Support Specialist

Windermere Child and Family Services is a community-based organization dedicated to providing holistic support to individuals affected by family violence. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Victim Support Worker - Family Violence Practitioner to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of victim survivors. As a Victim Support Worker - Family Violence Practitioner, you will provide tailored support to individuals and families affected by family violence, empowering them to navigate the justice system and access necessary resources.
Key Responsibilities- Provide case management and intake services to victim survivors, including assessment, planning, and coordination of support
- Build capacity within the Victims Assistance Program to respond to family violence
- Engage in community outreach and education activities to promote awareness and understanding of family violence
- Collaborate with other victim services, including Family Violence and Sexual Assault Services
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
- Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification in Social Work, Social Welfare, or relevant field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a trauma-related field, preferably in a community sector setting
- Case management, intake, and assessment experience, with a focus on family violence
- Risk identification and management capability, including experience with the MARAM framework
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a culturally responsive and inclusive manner
