Counsellor - Specialist Support

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our team at Windermere Child and Family Services. As a Counsellor, you will play a vital role in providing specialist support to victim survivors of sexual assault, empowering them to reclaim a sense of self in the aftermath of abuse.
About the RoleThis is a Fixed Term Contract to 30 June 2025, working full-time hours. As part of our flexible ways of working, you can apply for a 9-day fortnight. We offer a culture of flexibility, support, and wellbeing, as well as a range of unique benefits beyond the salary.
Key Responsibilities- Hold a case load and provide specialist Counselling support to victims of Sexual Assault.
- Develop and implement trauma-informed practice to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for consumers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support services.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualised plans to meet consumer needs.
- Prepare written reports and maintain accurate consumer files and databases.
- Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, or a relevant equivalent.
- Demonstrated understanding of the impact of trauma and trauma-informed practice.
- Direct experience providing specialist Counselling to victim survivors of sexual assault.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain consumer files and databases.
