Empowering Students with Autism

The role of an Educator at our school is to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with autism.

Our dedicated team of educators work together to develop and deliver quality learning programs that cater to the individual needs of each student.

We believe in providing a wrap-around approach to support, which includes close collaboration with family members, teacher aides, and other professionals such as our school psychologist, speech therapists, and occupational therapists.

This approach enables our educators to gain new skills and experience, helping them reach their professional goals while making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.

About the Role
  • Design and implement engaging learning programs that promote academic, social, and emotional growth for students with autism.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and review Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, families, and staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive school culture.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting students with autism.

What You'll Need
  • A degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with students with autism or similar disability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Capacity to adapt to changing situations and priorities.

Other Information

Base salary $90k - $127k (depending on qualifications, accreditation, and relevant teaching experience) + special education allowance $3,699 p.a. + superannuation, pro rata for part-time employment or casual loading as applicable.
