Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) has grown to become Australia's largest national educational program for children on the autism spectrum, with 9 independent schools operating from 67 locations in NSW and South Australia catering to approximately 1,200 students.
**About the role**:
The Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting large datasets to extract valuable insights that inform business decisions. You will collaborate with different teams to establish data-driven solutions that optimize our People, Culture & Safety processes, improve our products, and enhance our customers’ experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret large and complex datasets using statistical methods and tools such as SQL, Python, R, Excel, and Tableau.
- Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data to support strategic decision-making.
- Establish a baseline suite of dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Work closely with the Workforce Services & Systems team to ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
- Identify trends in data and opportunities for improvement.
- Advise on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to data analysis.
**Skills, experience and qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a business context.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and Tableau.
- Experience working with sensitive payroll data.
- Experience working specifically with Aurion payroll will be well regarded.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large sets of data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
- Proven experience in developing reporting, insights and analytics to support decision making
- Mindset for positive change, and commitment to and aptitude for process improvement
- Willingness to travel to regional and interstate sites from time to time
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Working with Children Check clearance (NSW)
- National Police Clearance
