Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to meet the expectations of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Slicing and Cutting: Slice and cut fish before cooking it to ensure optimal flavor and texture.
  • Meat Preparation: Beat, cut, and season meat ready to be cooked, braised, or grilled to perfection.
  • Kitchen Coordination: Coordinate kitchen staff members' duties to maximize teamwork and ensure efficient service.
  • Order Management: Manage multiple orders at once to meet the demands of our customers.
  • Dish Presentation: Ensure dishes are well-presented before being served to customers.
  • Team Support: Help team members with preparations of soups, vegetables, and other ingredients or items.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Motivate the kitchen team to meet the company's goals and increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Plating Techniques: Demonstrate plating techniques to make dishes more appealing to customers.
  • Knife Skills: Use knife skills to minimize wastage and teach other cooks how to perform specific meat and fish cuts.
  • Menu Development: Create innovative recipes and items to add to menus in accordance with Restaurant Managers and sous chefs.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a Chef.
  • Cooking Procedures: Strong knowledge of cooking procedures.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills.
  • Independence: Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Order Management: Ability to manage multiple orders.
Job Type and Salary

Job type: Permanent/full-time

Salary: $73,000 - $83,000
