About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Billing and Collections Manager to join our Finance department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a large team in a complex environment, providing specialist knowledge and experience to ensure hospital billings are completed in accordance with set KPIs and collections are completed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a large team in a complex environment, providing guidance and support to ensure successful delivery of billing and collections activities.
  • Monitor billing activity across multiple billing streams and provide timely and accurate reporting on a regular basis.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve billing and collections processes, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of billing and collections activities with other business functions.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on billing and collections matters to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated specialist experience (minimum of 8-10 years) in leadership roles with billing, collections, and billing reporting.
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting (or a related field) and CPA/CA qualified (or working towards).
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in dealing with private health funds, Medicare, and NDIS disability service systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement and best practice implementation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work and contribute as part of a team.
  • High degree of computer literacy, including a solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook, and capacity to quickly learn new financial software systems.
  • Experience with digital health systems, including PBRC.
