About this role

The Offender Management Supervisor plays a pivotal part in prisons, acting as a change agent to mentor and train custodial staff in offender management practices.

Key responsibilities include promoting good practice through quality assurance activities and developing/improving offender management processes aligned with the Offender Management Framework.

This role may require flexible hours, including weekends/public holidays, and urgent work attendance.

Necessary qualifications and skills

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Reducing Re-offending Framework, Trauma Informed Practice Principles, and offender management/case management practices within custodial settings.
  • A proven ability to provide leadership in correctional environments, including guiding teams of correctional staff.

You must have or be willing to obtain relevant qualifications, such as completion of the Prison Officer Pre-service Training or Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Custodial).
