Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle.

This role involves the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing design requirements, conducting site investigations, performing calculations and modeling, overseeing drafting and preparing reports and specifications.

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will work closely with clients to understand their core business and provide solutions and services both on and off-site.

  • Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
  • Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design-related risks
  • Experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects
  • A commitment to working safely, and within our HSEQ systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences
  • Ability to travel on occasions as the work requires
