Senior Structural Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our multidisciplinary water team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations, and conveyance pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review design requirements, site investigations, calculations, modeling, and oversee drafting
  • Prepare reports and specifications for clients
  • Build strong client relationships and demonstrate an understanding of clients' core business
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices, as well as relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes
  • Ability to identify project and design-related risks
  • Experience managing small to medium engineering design projects
  • Commitment to working safely within company's HSEQ systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary team
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel on occasions as work requires
