Senior Structural Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our water team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the design engineering of water and wastewater treatment plants, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, pump stations and conveyance pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review design requirements, site investigations, calculations, modeling, oversight of drafting and preparation of reports and specifications.
  • Provide solutions and services to clients both on and off site.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil (structural) engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in water and wastewater treatment and/or conveyance design.
  • Knowledge of safety in design, constructability, and operational practices and relevant Australian standards and WSAA codes.
  • Knowledge of risk management with the ability to identify project and design-related risks.
  • Experience in managing small to medium engineering design projects.
  • A commitment to working safely within our HSEQ systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to interact with a broad range of audiences.
  • Ability to travel occasionally as required by the work.
