Key Responsibilities
  • Interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability for donation.
  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance to team members involved in the blood collection process.
  • Perform routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests; set up equipment and machines for collection.
  • Ensure the safe insertion and removal of needles to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
  • Respond to adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current registration with the relevant authority.
  • Strong clinical skills acquired in a hospital setting.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday.
