This rewarding role offers a direct impact on the lives of individuals and their communities through blood donations.

  • Meet and assess potential donors to determine eligibility and suitability for donation.
  • Provide clinical supervision and guide team members in the blood collection process.
  • Conduct routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests to ensure donor safety.
  • Set up equipment and collections machinery as required.
  • Safely insert and remove needles to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
  • Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance.

Our comprehensive training program balances on-the-job experience with online coursework, ensuring your success in this critical role.

Requirements
  • Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs.
  • Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products.
  • Utilise your expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration.
  • Be flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
  • Have your own vehicle and driver's licence.
