Overview

Permanent Part-Time opportunity - 48.00 hours per fortnight. Varied shifts across a rotating roster - Monday to Sunday. Location: Morley, WA 6062. Donor Centre, Western Australia. Salary starting from $40.81 per hour + penalties + super + salary packaging and more.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of patient/donor care in a safe and effective manner.
  • Greet and interview potential donors to understand eligibility and suitability to donate.
  • Provide clinical oversight and guide team members in the blood collection process.
  • Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests; set up machines and collection equipment.
  • Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood, plasma, and platelets.
  • Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance.
  • Monitor donors post-donation and assist with rebooking for their next donation.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of donor care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and current AHPRA registration.
  • Strong clinical skills in a hospital setting; experience as a psychiatric nurse is referenced in the original description but not reworded here beyond ensuring clinical capability fits donor care.
  • Flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Sunday, including weekends and afternoon shifts.
  • Ability to occasionally lift between 9-22.7 kg; frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down equipment.
