About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our team at QCoal Northern Hub Coal Project - Sonoma Mine. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for leading a crew and ensuring everyone works safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Team Management: Lead your crew and ensure everyone works safely and efficiently.
  2. Maintenance and Repair: Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication, and maintenance systems documentation.
  3. Technical Expertise: Sourcing technical information, including technical bulletins, OEM, and computer-based systems, and be able to read and understand schematics – electrical and hydraulic.
  4. Quality and Safety: Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times and undertake quality work.
  5. Coverage and Support: Step-up and coverage for the Maintenance Supervisor in their absence and maintain radio communications for shift activities.
  6. Inventory Management: Manage parts requirements for work and warehouse control on night shift.

  1. Competitive Remuneration: Attendance Bonus - $450 paid fortnightly.
  2. Retention Incentive: Retention Payment from 1st July 2024, $10,000 paid in 52 weekly payments. Inclusive of super.

  4. Flexible Roster: 7/7 Even time, lifestyle roster with 12-hour day and night shifts.
  5. Full Camp Facilities: Enjoy access to full camp facilities, including accommodation and amenities.
  6. Relocation Assistance: BIBO from Townsville and living out of camp allowance, if applicable.

About You

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  1. Relevant Trade Qualifications: Hold relevant trade qualifications and experience working as a leading hand in the maintenance field on an operational mine.
  2. Operational Mine Site Experience: Post-trade operational mine site experience and experience in general service, maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs, and proper diagnostics.
