Leadership Role: Retail and Fitness Operations Manager

Job Description:

The role of the Retail and Fitness Operations Manager is to oversee the strategic and operational aspects of both retail and fitness operations across South Australia locations.

  • Lead and optimise the performance of Ryderwear's retail and fitness operations, ensuring brand consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Drive sales growth by developing and implementing innovative retail strategies, merchandising techniques, and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with Gym Managers to ensure seamless integration of retail areas with gym operations, enhancing the overall member experience.
  • Provide expert guidance on visual merchandising, store layout, and product assortment to maximise retail sales and customer engagement.
  • Conduct regular site visits across SA to assess performance, provide on-site training, and implement best practices in retail management.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, product development, and inventory management.
  • Foster a culture of excellence in customer service, ensuring all staff are trained to deliver high standards of service and product knowledge.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align retail strategies with overall brand initiatives and product launches.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in multi-site retail or fitness operations management, with a strong focus on store development, sales growth, and visual merchandising.
  • Proven track record of improving retail environments and achieving sales targets within a fitness, apparel, or lifestyle brand.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate teams across retail and fitness operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends, translating them into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Passionate about the fitness industry, with a keen understanding of the activewear market and consumer behaviour.
  • Flexibility to travel between SA locations and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
