State Gym and Retail Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled State Gym and Retail Manager to lead the strategic and operational aspects of our gym and retail facets across South Australia. This role demands a candidate with a robust background in multi-site retail or fitness operations, proven experience in enhancing retail environments, and the ability to drive sales and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will ensure that our retail areas inside the clubs meet and exceed performance targets while delivering an exceptional brand experience across SA.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and optimise the performance of our gym and retail operations across all South Australian locations, ensuring brand consistency and operational efficiency.
  2. Drive retail sales growth by developing and implementing innovative retail strategies, merchandising techniques, and promotional activities.
  3. Collaborate with Gym Managers to ensure the retail areas are seamlessly integrated with gym operations, enhancing the overall member experience.
  4. Provide expert guidance on visual merchandising, store layout, and product assortment to maximise retail sales and customer engagement.
  5. Conduct regular site visits across SA to assess performance, provide on-site training, and implement best practices in retail management.
  6. Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, product development, and inventory management.
  7. Foster a culture of excellence in customer service, ensuring all staff are trained to deliver high standards of service and product knowledge.
  8. Work closely with the marketing and product teams to align retail strategies with overall brand initiatives and product launches.

Qualifications and Skills:

Significant experience in multi-site retail or fitness operations management, with a strong focus on store development, sales growth, and visual merchandising.

Proven track record of improving retail environments and achieving sales targets within a fitness, apparel, or lifestyle brand.

Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate teams across gym and retail operations.

Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends, translating them into actionable strategies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.

Passionate about the fitness industry, with a keen understanding of the activewear market and consumer behaviour.

Flexibility to travel between SA locations and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
