Workforce Planning Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Workforce Planning Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of staff rosters and workforce allocation, ensuring high-quality responsive care delivery to clients across our program.

The Workforce Planning Specialist will lead the development and implementation of workforce rostering strategies aligned with service delivery needs. They will provide leadership and mentoring to a team of professionals, driving operational excellence and staff wellbeing through efficient workforce planning and proactive management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement workforce rostering strategies aligned with service delivery needs
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to teams of professionals
  • Analyse service trends, forecast demand, and proactively plan workforce capacity
  • Maintain and oversee rostering systems and ensure award and policy compliance
  • Manage and support recruitment, onboarding, and engagement initiatives for field staff
  • Serve as the key liaison between internal stakeholders regarding workforce planning matters
  • Develop reports and dashboards on workforce performance, fill rates, award compliance, and service continuity
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources, Business, Community Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a rostering/workforce planning or coordination role within aged care, health, or community services
  • Strong working knowledge of industry awards and employment standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and manage a team
  • Proficiency in rostering and scheduling systems
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all levels
