We are seeking a skilled Law Clerk to join our National Abuse team in the Newcastle office. As a valued member of this team, you will support our Lawyers as they advance civil claims on behalf of our clients who have been abused as children in schools, juvenile detention facilities, and in other institutional settings.

This permanent part-time opportunity offers a 1:1 working partnership supporting a lawyer within a very busy practice. Your energy and drive will be integral in achieving successful outcomes along with your positive approach to your work. Key responsibilities include reviewing reports and files, preparing draft legal correspondence, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations, and working closely with the legal teams to advance legal matters for clients.

We require someone with a keen interest in personal injury law, exposure to Abuse Law or a similar plaintiff personal injury practice, natural passion for helping people, high level of empathy, exceptional communication and customer service skills, excellent written and drafting skills, ability to recognise the importance of attention to detail and time management, organisational skills, and willingness to learn.
