As a Child Development Specialist at Affinity Education, you will have the opportunity to inspire and nurture young minds in our 64-place centre, Aussie Kindies Early Learning Woy Woy. Our centre is committed to providing a strengths and rights-based approach to education and care, where play underpins our philosophy.

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about motivating and leading a team of educators in the Kindy room. The successful candidate will develop lifelong learning experiences through child-led enquiries, connections to our local primary school, and positive experiences within our community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering growth and development in young children and be able to design, implement, and evaluate educational programs that cater to the unique interests and strengths of each child.

About You

  • An Early Childhood Degree or ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
  • Relevant teachers' registration (if applicable)
  • A current Working with Children's Check or willing to obtain
  • Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain

About Our Centre

Aussie Kindies Early Learning Woy Woy offers three rooms that instil a love of lifelong learning in every child. Our team is family-oriented and based, ensuring a sense of belonging and respect for everyone. We believe in our environment as the 'third teacher', making it aesthetically pleasing and reflective of the identity and culture of the children and families.

Our Curriculum

We utilise the Lifelong Learning Curriculum, Australia's most advanced approach to early education for children from birth to age five. This curriculum is based on nurturing and engaged educators, partnering with families and communities. We draw on the best models of early education, contemporary research, and evidence-informed practices such as Circle of Security, Abecedarian, and Project Based Learning.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum.
