The Victorian Department of Families, Fairness & Housing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Diversity and Inclusion Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of our Diversity and Inclusion Framework 2022 – 2027.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to Senior Advisors in delivering initiatives under the Diversity and Inclusion Framework, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
- Offer advice, information, and support to managers, staff, and stakeholders in relation to diversity initiatives, in line with departmental policies and program guidelines, and in consultation with the Diversity and Inclusion Manager and Senior Advisors.
- Assist with the conduction of the annual workforce diversity survey, undertake comparison analysis to monitor and evaluate diversity targets, and undertake the learning administrator role by uploading training as requested by Senior Advisors and troubleshooting registration problems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing expert advice and guidance on diversity and inclusion matters to management, staff, and stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing strategies to promote and foster an inclusive workplace culture.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve diversity and inclusion goals.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in diversity and inclusion, human resources, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
