Support Worker Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate support worker to join our team. As a support worker, you will work closely with individuals who require assistance with daily living activities.

About the Job

  • Provide personal care and support to clients with disabilities, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, and household chores
  • Encourage and support clients to participate in recreational activities and social events
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, social workers, and other support staff
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and their families, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Certificate III in a relevant field (disability, health, or social science)
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a mental health setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleepovers
  • Current first aid certification and driver's license preferred
