About the Role:

Cement Australia is seeking an experienced IR/ER Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our People and Culture team, you will play a critical role in providing strategic advice and support to our leaders and employees on employment relations and industrial relations matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the negotiation of complex employment agreements and work with HR Business Partners to develop negotiation strategies
  • Provide end-to-end support on operational Employee Relations/Industrial Relations and case management matters, acting as an escalation point for HR Business Partners on complex ER matters
  • Conduct formal investigations and provide specialist advice on industrial agreements and conditions
  • Lead specific Employment and Industrial relations projects and build the IR/ER capability of the P&C Team and Line Leaders
  • Build strong and effective working relationships with relevant Union stakeholders and develop and maintain Policies and Procedures
  • Provide expert advice to leaders on employment risks, policies and procedures, facilitating informed decision-making for both executive and management levels of the business
  • Represent CA in conciliations and disputes at the Fair Work Commission and other relevant forums
About You:

We are looking for an experienced IR/ER Business Partner with a strong background in negotiating and implementing industrial agreements. You will have contemporary knowledge of relevant industry standards, best practice and trends, and be able to provide leadership and direction to junior members of the P&C team. You will also have effective communication and negotiation skills, as well as well-developed forward planning, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
