Community Health Advocate

We are seeking a dedicated Aboriginal Health Practitioner to provide high-quality, comprehensive and culturally appropriate primary health care services to the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community in Darwin.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver primary health care services to clients with a focus on cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive healthcare services, including health programs and education initiatives.
- Demonstrate expertise in Aboriginal culture and history, as well as knowledge of contemporary issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Foster effective relationships with clients, families, and community members through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- A Bachelor of Nursing or Certificate IV in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care (Practice) qualification is required for this role.
- Candidates must be registered as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner/Nurse with AHPRA.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and clinical practice software, is essential.
