Our organization seeks a dedicated advocate to lead the growth and delivery of programs that amplify the voices of individuals with lived experience in homelessness and domestic, family, and sexual violence.
This role will oversee the development and implementation of trauma-aware, strengths-based, and culturally safe initiatives that prioritize the voices of people with lived experience.
- Design and deliver programs that elevate the voices of individuals with lived experience, ensuring meaningful engagement and advocacy.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to support program growth and impact.
- Oversee the implementation, evaluation, and management of program components, including culturally specific initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Design and Delivery:
Develop and implement programs that prioritize the voices of individuals with lived experience in addressing homelessness and domestic, family, and sexual violence.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to advocate for policy and program changes.
Program Management:
Oversee program implementation, evaluation, and management, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
Requirements:
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as social work or community development.
Strong background in lived experience advocacy and program management.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with diverse communities.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, co-design principles, and the ethical foundations of lived experience advisory bodies.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce complex documentation and facilitate inclusive, accessible engagement.
Desirable requirements include:
Experience working in Indigenous affairs, social justice, or community development.
Ability to travel throughout the Northern Territory.
Proficiency in an Indigenous language.
