Job Title: Youth and Family Worker

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality support services to young people and families using a strengths-based and trauma-informed framework.
  • Provide direct support and groupwork to address specific needs while raising community awareness about issues affecting youth and appropriate responses.
  • Engage in developmental group work to enhance capacity and resilience.
  • Collaborate with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, staff, and organisations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with young people and families in community-based environments.
  • Knowledge of the youth justice, child protection system and local youth, family services (desirable).
  • Understanding of cultural systems, language skills, and ability to work respectfully and collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
