Early Childhood Educator for Small Community Preschool

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic educator to join our team at a community-based long day care centre in Elderslie, Sydney. Our centre focuses on providing safe, engaging, and nurturing environments that create opportunities for children to achieve positive attitudes towards independent learning.
About the RoleAs an Educator working within the preschool room, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing early childhood programs that contribute to educational and developmental outcomes for children;
- Closely observing children's behavior, interactions, and achievements to assess their individual progress;
- Ensuring the safety, health, and wellbeing of children;
- Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive peer interactions and helps children understand and manage their emotions;
- Fostering good relationships between parents, staff, and other organizations on behalf of the company;
- Completing observation records and updating charts through an online communication system.
The successful candidate will possess a Cert 3 or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA equivalent) and current Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis qualifications. They will also have experience working within a childcare environment, a sound understanding of National Education and Care Services, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a Working with Children Check number.
