About this role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive strategic impact on work-winning initiatives and lead front-end commercial activities for new business and major renewals.

As Senior Commercial Manager, you will own negotiations and ensure commercial integrity across the telecommunications portfolio, playing a vital role in guiding financial decisions and managing risk throughout the pre-contract phase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial strategy and risk management during the pre-contract phase.
  • Review and assess tender documents, contracts, and pricing for new and renewal opportunities.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with business procedures.
  • Collaborate with bid teams, estimators, and business units to mitigate risks and validate pricing.
  • Prepare key documentation including commercial departures, approvals, and submissions.
  • Strengthen governance of commercial policies and procedures.
  • Manage procurement activities and supplier evaluations.
  • Oversee contract handovers, negotiations, claims, and renewals.

Requirements

You must be degree-qualified in Business, Law, Construction Management, or a related field. Extensive experience in commercial and contract management is essential, preferably within the telecommunications or civil construction sectors.

Strong commercial acumen and a proven track record of managing multi-million dollar projects are required. Solid understanding of construction principles, legal frameworks, and commercial governance is also necessary.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver strategic outcomes are essential for this role.
