Senior IT Project Manager

Public Sector People is seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to lead our client's IT Digital Transformation Programs. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving transformative digital initiatives that drive change and innovation.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading our client's IT Digital Transformation Programs, overseeing staff management and resource allocation within the team. You will identify and engage key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and end-users, and define project plans, create timelines, and establish milestones to track progress.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead the IT Digital Transformation Programs, ensuring timely delivery, within budget, and meeting the highest quality standards.
  2. Manage program-level financials, addressing any variations to allocated budgets.
  3. Oversee the program-level resource model, ensuring projects have the appropriate staffing and resources.
  4. Act as the primary point of contact for vendor account management activities.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  1. A proven track record of successfully delivering digital transformation initiatives.
  2. Experience working in local government.
  3. Strong leadership skills, team management, and mentoring experience.
  4. Proficiency in project management methodologies.
  5. Extensive industry experience in project and/or program management.
  6. Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, effective communication, negotiation, and vendor collaboration.
  7. Financial acumen for program-level budget allocation, tracking, and decision-making.
