Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. This role involves providing technical support for desktops, applications, and other IT-related services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service and resolving technical issues in a timely manner;
  • Collaborating with the virtual support team to resolve operational problems;
  • Implementing proactive maintenance and administration of designated services, including configuration, monitoring, and deployment of software updates and security patches;
  • Ensuring the safe disposal of computing devices and implementing best practices for IT asset management;
  • Installing user-related software upon receipt of approved service requests;
  • Participating in cross-training and mentoring with service delivery teams;
  • Contributing to the development of operational procedures and documentation;
  • Supporting corporate policies, procedures, and best practices pertinent to IT infrastructure.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent);
  • Experience working in an IT environment;
  • A valid driver's license;
  • Travel requirements may apply.
