Labour Hire Liaison Officer Role

Job Summary:

MADEC is seeking a Labour Hire Liaison Officer to provide support to international workers engaged through the PALMS programme. The successful candidate will work closely with workers and host employers to ensure their needs are met, and they assimilate into their local environment.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for building strong relationships, and a genuine desire to help others. They will be responsible for addressing worker enquiries, assisting workers to build skills to resolve concerns independently, and acting as a communication conduit between workers, our client, and MADEC.

  • Addressing worker enquiries, which may be varied, and assisting workers to build skills to resolve their concerns independently;
  • Building trust and strong relationships with workers to ensure any matters of concern are understood and addressed;
  • Assisting workers with access to services required, such as medical care;
  • Acting as a communication conduit between workers, our client, and MADEC;
  • Identifying any risks to worker wellbeing and escalating as required.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to international workers engaged through the PALMS programme;
  • Working closely with workers and host employers to ensure their needs are met;
  • Ensuring workers assimilate into their local environment;
  • Addressing worker enquiries and providing assistance to workers as needed;
  • Building trust and strong relationships with workers and host employers.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Reside in the Gingin area and be familiar with the local area;
  • Have excellent communication skills and a passion for building strong relationships;
  • Have a genuine desire to help others and be patient and culturally sensitive;
  • Hold a valid driver's licence to provide on-the-ground support to workers.

Please note that a police check and valid working rights are a pre-requisite for this role.
