Job Title: Worker Liaison Officer - Pacific Australia Labour Mobility

We are seeking a dedicated individual to support international workers under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide care and support to ensure workers assimilate into their local environment, the workplace, and build skills required for independent living in a new country.

  • Addressing worker enquiries and assisting them to build skills to resolve concerns independently;
  • Building trust and strong relationships with workers to understand and address any matters of concern;
  • Assisting workers with access to services required;
  • Acting as a communication conduit between workers, our client, and MADEC;
  • Identifying risks to worker wellbeing and escalating as required.
Key Responsibilities

This is a casual role for a fixed term period. The hours offered will vary given the seasonal nature of the industry, but you can expect to work an average of approximately 25 hours per week, increasing during peak season.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Reside in the Gingin area and be familiar with the local area;
  • Have excellent communication skills and a passion for getting the best out of relationships through a person-centred approach;
  • Have a genuine desire to help others, along with patience and cultural sensitivity to assist in building effective connections with workers;
  • Hold a valid driver's licence to provide on-the-ground support to workers.
