Job Title

We are seeking expressions of interest for a Worker Liaison Officer to provide support to international workers engaged as part of the PALMS programme. This role is based in the Gingin region and is remote.

You will be the workers' key point of contact, providing care and support to ensure they assimilate into their local environment, the workplace, and build skills required for independent living. Each day will be different, but your core responsibilities will include:

  • Addressing worker enquiries and assisting them to build skills to resolve concerns independently;
  • Building trust and strong relationships with workers to ensure any matters of concern are understood and addressed;
  • Assisting workers with access to services (e.g., medical);
  • Acting as a communication conduit between workers, our client, and MADEC;
  • Identifying any risks to worker wellbeing and escalating as required.

This is a casual role for a fixed term period helping with seasonal servicing. Hours offered will vary, approximately 25 hours per week, increasing during peak season. Flexibility with working hours and availability for out-of-hours work is required.

About You

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Reside in the Gingin area and be familiar with the local area;
  • Have excellent communication skills and a passion for building relationships through a person-centred approach;
  • Have a genuine desire to help others, patience, and cultural sensitivity to assist in building effective connections with workers;
  • Hold a valid driver's licence for on-the-ground support.

A police check and valid working rights are pre-requisites, as sponsorship is not offered for this position.
