About the Role:

  • As a Lead Electrical Design Expert, you'll be responsible for managing electrical packages from scope stage to final certification, ensuring seamless communication with power utilities and clients throughout the design process.
  • You'll coordinate with various project disciplines and stakeholders, preparing and leading electrical design packages, including electrical relocation, URD, and supply upgrade projects for major clients.
  • We're looking for someone with extensive experience in Utility electrical designs, such as overhead and underground networks, asset relocations, supply upgrades, URD, and Public Lighting.
  • Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian Standards relevant to private electrical designs, including AS3000 and AS1158, and be able to check, comment, and approve distribution drawings for construction purposes.
  • Prior experience with AGI32 and Perfect Lite, NSW electrical authority standards, and Neara (or similar) for OH line design is highly regarded.
  • AEO status for HV line design or Road lighting is also desirable.

About You:

  • With over 10 years of relevant experience as a Level 3 designer (ASP3), you'll possess a relevant higher education qualification in electrical engineering and excellent spoken and written communication skills, including a working knowledge of MS Office.
  • You'll be an expert in preparing technical reports and design documentation, with a strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Chartered engineering or MIES accreditation is preferred, but not required.
