About the Role

As a Senior Secondary Design Engineer at Aurecon, you will play a key part in our team of experts who deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting, leading, reviewing, and verifying detail designs and technical reports for clients, including substation secondary systems
  • Leading and delivering concept to detailed design of substation secondary systems
  • Secondary systems design, producing SLDs, substation layouts, equipment/materials lists, clearance checks, and short circuit force calculations
  • Understanding critical technical aspects of projects, implementation, and integration for complex systems
  • Key areas of focus include transmission and distribution substations' secondary systems electrical design, encompassing protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, protection and control room layout
  • Ensuring the project is delivered on time and budget
  • Undertaking site inspections and associated reporting
  • Liaising with clients and contractors in relation to project objectives and targets on technical issues and problem resolution

About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced electrical design engineer who has a strong background in substation secondary design and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and budget.
