About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR professional to join our team at the National Indigenous Australians Agency. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and support to our staff and managers across the Agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to staff and managers on employment-related matters, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver HR programs and initiatives that support the Agency's strategic objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform HR decisions and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the Agency's HR services and expertise.
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR role, preferably in a government agency or similar organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
