Job Description

The role of the Performance team within EssenceMediacom is to deliver high excellence in Implementation Planning and Buying, spanning Social, Search, Programmatic and E-Comm.

Powered by data, technology and automation, client campaigns are executed and amplified effectively and efficiently. The role of Director within the Performance team is to lead with overall responsibility for the direction, workflow and quality of Implementation Planning and Buying.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Openly communicate and collaborate with all internal stakeholders and reports regularly.
  2. Hold regular performance evaluation meetings with reports throughout the year, setting SMART KPIs and creating a clear career development plan.
  3. Review your team's training needs to ensure their career plans are aligned to progression.
  4. Responsible for training and development of all members of the team.
  5. Oversee workflow between all members of the team and escalate any issues.
Client Focus
  • Establish an understanding of client challenges, objectives & initiatives.
  • Help build on the agency's reputation for outstanding client service.
  • Build strong and enduring client relationships at a senior level.
  • Act as an expert on the client's business, industry and competitors.
  • Understand in-scope services of your clients and process for completing work above and beyond.
Product Expertise
  1. Engage with media partners to build knowledge of the media landscape and core media principles.
  2. Collaborate with Media and/or platform partners to develop strong relationships.
  3. Engage with internal product teams to understand offerings and relevance to our clients.
  4. Utilize agency and industry tools to enhance and support planned recommendations.
  5. Support the development of media plans, including reconciliation and update of changes.
  6. Enrich ongoing campaign optimisation to improve business objectives.
  7. Complete and maintain Performance platform certifications.
  8. Use data to provide insights for client teams and clients.
  9. Ensure reporting is clear, jargon-free and insightful for clients.
  10. Construct and present robust implementation plans grounded in strategic priorities.
  11. Bring innovation and creativity to the table leveraging insights from across the market.
  12. Develop future fit, market leading Performance strategies for clients.
  13. Ensure client investment deliverables are met consistently across all touchpoints.
  14. Present insightful and progressive post analysis reports.
  15. Ensure financial and compliance processes are followed with 100% accuracy.
  16. Deliver client trading KPI's.
Growth and Marketing
  • Collaborate closely with Manager to identify, collate and showcase examples of great work.
  • Contribute to entries for awards and competitions.
  • Contribute to thought leadership across owned assets.
  • Share relevant commentary internally.
  • Be a positive face of the agency at industry events.
  • Develop a market leading profile via strong relationships.
