Executive Head Chef for Food Service Team

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Head Chef to join our food service team at Muller Bros restaurant located in Toowoomba QLD. We are offering a competitive salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation for this role.

Muller Bros is a dynamic and energetic restaurant, café, and bar located at 25 Bell Street, Toowoomba QLD 4350. We pride ourselves on presenting quality food to our customers and are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Executive Head Chef to help us achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development of menus, manage food and labour expenses, and procure food supplies
  • Ensure the quality of dishes throughout the preparation and presentation process
  • Address food preparation concerns with managers, dietitians, and kitchen and service staff
  • Develop and implement cooking techniques and provide guidance on procedures
  • Prepare and cook meals to a high standard
  • Ensure excellent food preparation, presentation, and service to our patrons and other customers
  • Manage stock levels, including stock takes and recording wastage
  • Accept food deliveries, check stock, and ensure the safe storage of products
  • Complete daily cleaning checklists to maintain a safe and hygienic workplace

Requirements

  • A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and relevant Diploma in Hospitality
  • At least two years' work experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
