Job Opportunity: Sous Chef at ALH Hotels

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at the Palmerston Tavern. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, inventory management, and food preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus, ensuring high-quality dishes are delivered to our guests.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Support the Head Chef in leading a high-performing kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Develop and implement effective systems for managing food safety and compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment.
  • Ability to lead effective teams and build a positive culture.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operational experience to achieve financial and business targets.
  • Trade Cooking qualifications.
