Hastha Solutions is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to fill a contract position in Canberra.
The estimated annual salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 AUD, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with security technologies such as endpoint protection, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security solutions to protect against cyber threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Experience using Sentinel or a similar SIEM solution.In-depth familiarity with the Australian Government Information Security Manual.Extensive experience in Windows, Linux, networking, and system administration.Experience with security services in the cloud (Azure or AWS).Desirable Skills
- Experience in cyber security monitoring within, or for, other Federal government entities.
- Extensive experience in cyber incident response.
Working Arrangements
This is a contract position with a preference for on-site work. The initial contract duration is 2 years, with the option to extend for up to an additional 24 months.
