A leading Federal Government department is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Assurance Officer to join a highly multidisciplinary team, supporting assurance activities associated with platforms and services delivered by the department.
The successful candidate will be offered a 12-month contract with two six-month extension options. The hourly rate for this position is competitive and rewarding, offering a great opportunity for professional growth and development within the Federal Government sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop security documentation, including System Security Plans and System Risk Management Plans, to ensure the highest level of information security compliance.
- Update artefacts supporting the Security framework to maintain a strong security posture.
- Assist with external reviews, including Information Security Registered Assessor Program assessments and penetration testing, to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
- A minimum of five years' experience in ICT security, including developing security documentation such as System Security Plans and E8 Maturity model.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), Essential 8 Maturity Model, and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).
- Working knowledge of ICT systems hosted on AWS Cloud and LAMP environment, with GovCMS platform experience highly desirable.
